Welcome to my world….
Hi everyone! I’m Karla Boccabella Vega aka KBVega!
I’m a big hearted Italian girl from Boston MA who lovvvvveeesss fashion and beauty. I am a total fAsHiOn JuNkiE….I literally get so excited about putting pieces together. Do you ever get like that? As much as I love styling my clothes, I also love taking pictures of what I wear….literally like a work of art and I am the canvas. I’m like a walking art gallery…for realz and the artist is moi lol.
For the longest, people have told me, that with my personal sense of style (that they love! and admire) & my inspiration, I should start my own website/blog. Soooooooo, I finally put on my big girl panties, yes…those….took the leap, pushed my constant fear aside, listened to myself (and them) and decided to create my passion project….this website!! I started THE FASHION DIARIES OF KBVEGA to inspire women with style & beauty tips to enhance their confidence. Everyone should feel beautiful and my goal is to help them feel that way!!! I hope to aspire, inspire, boost your confidence and make you feel even more beautiful than you already are!! I hope you like what I share with you!!
With love always,
Where it all started…….
When I was younger, I wanted to be a lawyer. While in college, I worked at odd end jobs, one being in a law firm. I mean, I liked it but felt like being a lawyer wasn’t my calling after all. After graduating from college in 2003 with a BA in Sociology, my lawyer dreams kind of dwindled and I spontaneously moved to NYC, one of the fashion capitals of the world. Being a fashion lover, I knew I needed to be there just for that reason. But my dreams were put on hold while trying to survive in the Big Apple. I worked in a nightclub where I met my husband Anthony over a decade ago. Eventually, I moved back to Boston with my husband in 2009 to fulfill his dream of owning his own restaurant. While my husband was busy building his place, I needed to get a job quickly. I was trying to find a job at a time where the economy was kind of at a standstill. I applied everywhere that I could at that time….even at the local hospital where I was born, and stayed there for 8 very long years but knew deep in my heart that this was not what I wanted to do. Working in the corporate medical field wasn’t my calling. FASHION was. And so I knew it was time for me to move on. I decided my dreams and passions needed immediate attention after so many years of ‘neglect.’ And so with my newfound freedom & time, one by one, my dreams are being fulfilled!!!
Moral of my life story is….DON’T EVER GIVE UP!! You are never too old and it is never too late to follow what your heart desires!!
