As I turn another year older, the search for a great skin care product becomes greater. Ladies, you know what I am talking about. Who wouldn’t want to improve/shrink any wrinkles they may have especially in their most prized possession…..their face. I know I do and if I find something that does just that, I am ranting and raving about it. So, when I popular facial came on the market, I knew I needed to try it. I mean, all the celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Snooki and Kim K were using it and lovin’ the results, so I wanted in. But, I was a little hesitant and skeptical because let’s face it, the celebrities using this product already had flawless skin, so was it just this facial that made their skin glow that much more or was it something else? I don’t know but I had to see for myself, so I went for it.
Cue in the BEST FACIAL I have ever used…..Hanacure. Yup, that’s right. I know you prob have heard about them all over celebrities insta pages and in beauty magazines. I mean, if they do what they say they do, well then damn, it could be the next best thing since sliced bread. So I typed https://www.hanacure.com/ in my search engine to see what all the hype was about. I opted to purchase the ‘All in One Starter’ Kit for $29 to see if I really liked this product. A good way to test something out before a full on commitment. Plus, I didn’t want to splurge on a bigger package just in case my skin had a negative reaction to the ingredients. I received my starter kit and was ready to see what all the talk was about.
I never have sugar coated anything and I’m not gonna start here. Based on the reviews and what the celebs were saying during the application of this product, I’m not gonna lie….I was a little scared, because you can legit feel your skin tightening to the point where you can’t move your mouth. With each minute that passes, the grips of the facial got tighter. So, even after receiving the product, it took me a week to actually give it a try for this sole fact. But, once I tried it, I was in love and all fear was gone.
First off, I have to talk about the packaging. It is consumer friendly ya’ll. I love when you don’t have struggle to get your item due to poor packaging. Right off the bat, I was impressed with how everything was neatly packed in the modern sleek box. There is a little thin pull out booklet which describes how to set up & apply in step by step detail with super easy instructions. It also tells you what you can expect when applying this product so you won’t get any surprises during the ‘lifting’ process.
What else is in the starter kit box?
- A small ampoule of ‘octolift’ liquid. (This is what causes the tightening in your face.)
- A tiny pouch of the ‘octolift solution’ which is like a gel like substance.
- An easy, glide on, applicator brush that can be used multiple times so don’t throw away!
- And of course, your patiently anticipated excitement once you see the amazing results after one use!
Ok, so let’s talk setup…..
There is very little ‘mixing’ on the buyer’s part….literally just open up the small pouch 1/2 way that holds the gel like substance, pour the ampoule of ‘octolift’ liquid inside, put back the cover of the pouch and shake for a few seconds. Open up the pouch & voilá! Set up is done. Now for the application.
Application…..
With your Hanacure applicator brush in one hand and your newfound confidence in the other, apply the gel like solution all over your face (avoid putting on your lips) & neck, & sparingly under the eyes (avoid direct contact with the eyes & using on the lids). After fully applying to those areas, if you have any extra gel solution, you can put it on the backs of your hands which will leave them feeling super soft. Leave the facial on (and product on hands) for 20+ minutes or wait until gel dries completely. Wash off with warm water. I will say that you would think it would be sticky or tacky to rinse off and you might have to scrub your face to release the substance, but it is not like that at all. Super easy rinse off.
What to expect during the waiting process…..
At around the 10 minute mark, you will feel your skin ‘lifting’ with slight tingling. The tightening gets really intense around 15 minutes. Warning, don’t try to drink, talk, actually do anything, with your mouth at this point. You won’t be able too lol. Ok, here’s where it gets real ya’ll. You will look like you aged 50 years and downright creepy looking, but this is all normal during the tightening process.
Right after the 15 minute mark, you literally will not be able to move your face AT ALL. It must be working!!! At the 20 minute mark, it will feel a little itchy but I think that is just a side effect for it actually working its magic. The tightening subsides (hallelujah!) after about 20-22 minutes but you will still feel it lifting and doing its thang. At the 30 minute mark, it has completely dried and is time to rinse this baby off to see the results!
Once you rinse the solution off, you will notice your face might be a little red which is totally normal. The redness will dissipate after about an 1-1 1/2 hours so I suggest NOT doing this on a night you have something planned unless you give yourself ample time for the redness to fade. Plus, I wouldn’t want to clog my pores with makeup and skincare products right after doing this facial, just my opinion. Since I have sensitive skin, I thought my face would legit look like a lobster post rinse. I was a little blotchy on my neck and forehead but not as red as I was expecting.
The results……
W O W. I noticed right away that my face (and backs of hands) were left super super soft!! I also noticed that my pesky little wrinkles on my neck and forehead were decreased drastically. Was this a miracle worker or what!?! I was hooked. If these were the result I was getting after one use, just imagine if I did this facial once a month? Yup, I needed some more of this in my life ASAP. Honestly, the whole process was super easy and was not as bad as I thought. I absolutely loved the results so much that I ended up purchasing the ‘All-In-One-Facial’ Set https://www.hanacure.com/products/the-all-in-one-facial-set for $110 dollars which to me was worth every penny especially when that set had over 10,000 five star reviews making the purchase that more enticing. In addition to this set, I also decided to splurge and grab the ‘Nano Emulsion’, a lightweight, super hydrating, moisturizer ‘designed to improve the appearance of your skin’s tone and texture.’ I also purchased the ‘Microphol Neutralizing Cleanser’. With the facial, the cleanser and moisturizing combo, my skin thanks me tremendously and best part, it’s never looked better!!

I love me a good face moisturizer especially ones that help with issues that I have faced being a middle aged woman, such as pesky wrinkles, those oh so fabulous (not really) fine lines, patches of discoloration from too much sun. You all know what I’m talking about. I have to be honest though. I would use Cocoa Butter, Lubriderm or Neutrogena as a face cream but since getting older, I have invested in products that will help me combat my slowly aging skin. So, I went on the hunt for a good face cream and came across ‘Fresh’ beauty products http://www.fresh.com. With amazing reviews, I decided to buy the Lotus Youth Preserve day & night cream combo, because if I could combat my facial problems with two products rather than one to cover a 24 hour period, why the hell not? I was all in. Total score!
The day cream~~Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer with Multi-Action Super Lotus~~not only is very lightweight, but smells amazing and helps with those pesky fine lines I mentioned earlier due to the star fruit leaf extract built into it. The night cream~~Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Face Cream Super Lotus Night Recovery~~is the same lightweight texture as its counterpart, smells equally nice & fresh and helps with overnight coverage to restore your skin’s natural beauty while you sleep. The Super Lotus in both creams, ‘helps to hydrate, support radiance and deliver antioxidant protection for a youthful look.’ I have been using both creams religiously and can definitely tell a difference. My skin overall feels smoother, fine lines are slowly fading away and wrinkles are not so defined and deep.
Each bottle holds 15mL which is more than enough IMO. Because of the effects of each cream, a little goes a long way. A 1/2 a dime size is plenty to have it work its magic. I have been using these bottles for a couple of months and am just now needing to purchase new ones. For $19 ea. or $38 for both, I think it is a total steal since the results back up its purpose. I love these creams so much, that I decided to get the Soy Cleanser as well! This face cleanser is lightweight, easy to apply and does what it promises! By combining this 3 in 1 face wash along with the creams, my skin has never looked better naturally!
All in all, I would give this a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ across the board! If you decide to go with these moisturizers & or face wash, let me know what you think with a comment below!
Who suffers from dry chapped lips especially in the colder months? 🙋🏼♀️ (Show of arms raised, including my own) Yup, winter lips are no fun. And although we are rounding into warmer days, dry chapped lips can be a downer all year round. What about your favorite matte lippie that leaves your lips totally dry and flaky. For the past several months, I have been using Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I use it right before I go to bed, so it does it’s magic while I sleep and when I wake up, after wiping off the mask, my lips are softer, smoother and moisturized…..total bonus!! The (Berry) mask has a really awesome scent to it….’enriched with Vitamin C and antioxidants, it’s Berry Mix Complex’ offers a pleasantly fruity scent derived from strawberry, raspberry, cranberry and blueberry extracts. Each jar has 20 g, which for $20, seems like a total steal for me since it actually does what it says it will do. The best thing when I opened up the product, is that it comes with a little plastic applicator so you can evenly distribute the right amount onto your lips rather than using a fingernail or Q-tip. Although this product was made to be used while you sleep, you can use it anytime. Even under your matte lipstick to avoid any flakiness during the day or on top of your matte lippie to get a nice sheen lip gloss. Your choice. You probably have seen the commercials on TV, so you know what I am talking about….right? The GOLI GUMMIES….aka the apple cider vinegar gummy that you can take daily without the bitter, tart, burning effects of drinking ACV on its own. I have tried to drink diluted ACV when I first learned of its health benefits (it is not good to drink it because, if consumed daily, you could literally burn your esophagus off). I am so happy they finally came out with a gummy with the same beneficial factors as its counterpart. The gummy is wayyyyyy more easier to take than trying to chug the (diluted) stuff. 
The Goli Gummy promises to ‘enhance your energy, reduce weight gain, helps in detoxifying your body, supports a healthy digestion and restores complexion.’ I have been taking this gummy for the past several months now and I will concur that these gummies are a must for your daily intake. I take these gummies along with my mulitvitamin in the morning and it does make me feel more energized throughout the day. Usually around 3pm is when I start feeling tired, but since taking these, my middle of the day sleepy time is null and void. I also seem more focused throughout the day as well. So, this is an added benefit. I have noticed that it does help with my digestive tract too, if you know what I mean. It is healthy to feel ‘regular’ especially when you are on a changed lifestyle like me with Keto. My skin does seem clearer and ‘fresher’ too. Growing up and even now, I never suffered from acne or complicated skin before, but I am getting older and experience issues with fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tones due to too much sun exposure. Like I mentioned before, I do take this gummy along with my ‘Gorgeous Hair, Skin and Nails’ multivitamin every morning, so the two combined are probably counterbalancing each other to help me combat some of these aging issues. To me, IMO, the gummy is well worth taking. The recommended daily dose is at least 2 but since I consider them the “Yummy Gummy”, it is safe to take as much as 12 during a 24 hour period especially if you enjoy the taste! (BTW, this is listed on their bottle so it is coming from the company). Although, since taking these, I overall feel physically better, with added benefits of my skin looking clearer and healthier; so I might just bump my daily intake because they are actually really yummy! This is the best part. One would think that it would taste like straight acidic ACV, but it doesn’t. It tastes like apples. And don’t they say an apple a day keeps the doctor away? Give it a try if you haven’t already. You have nothing to lose. If anything, you will gain your energy back, have radiant skin, and overall feel rejuvenated.
